Yellow Butterfly Earrings

These Yellow Butterfly Earrings by Wanda Shum are each hand crafted to look like the wings of butterflies. Wanda Shum is a very talented and well known Canadian Artist from British Columbia. These beautiful butterfly earrings are created by using Polymer Clay, which is a type of modeling clay, which one can harden in an oven. It can be likened to PVC. The artist can then form the clay into an  array of unbelievably vivid colours, patterns and shapes. The colours of this pair of earrings are bright yellow, black and pink; they are also modelled and shaped with polymer clay.

Every pair of special clay earrings is one of a kind and crafted by hand; thus, no pair will be identical in colour. They are crafted in B.C. Canada.

Wanda Shum works in polymer clay using a technique called Millefiori. Strips of different shapes and colours of polymer clay are shaped into canes. The canes when cut reveal magnificent colours and patterns and they are then carefully applied and sculpted into exquisite earrings and various other unique, one of a kind “works of art”. Wanda’s work is wonderful.
