Red Butterfly Earrings

These Red Butterfly Earrings look fantastic with vivid red, black and white coloured butterfly wings. They are Canadian made by Wanda Shum a very well-known artist, who resides in British Columbia. The butterfly earrings are made with Polymer Clay, which is a type of modelling clay, which can be hardened in an oven. The artist then forms the clay into a variety of variegated patterns and shapes, with brilliant colours, professionally modeled and shaped with polymer clay.

Each pair of earrings is hand crafted; thus, none of the earrings are identical.

Wanda Shum works with polymer clay and uses a technique called Millefiori. Strips of different shapes and colours of polymer clay are moulded into canes. The canes are cut revealing an array of colours and patterns and they are then carefully applied and sculpted into wonderful earrings and various other unique, one of a kind “works of art”.
