The weather has finally changed and everyone is looking forward to warmer temperatures and the full onslaught of Spring. The sun is shining, flowers are starting to bloom again and even the animals and insects are renewing themselves for another busy season of life. Of course, we’re aware of how things are looking up at this online craft store too and that’s why we’ve added some new products and craft kits to the inventory to celebrate the season.
It’s a great time of year to do a little shopping and have a refreshed look at some of the arts and crafts that have been added. We’ve also decided to provide a few tips to help you get the most from the upcoming warm season.
- Why not renew your commitment to a better and healthier you this Spring? Adding fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet does wonders and you should aim for three to five servings of vegetables per day. Need some advice about which ones are best? Tomatoes are low in calories and high in vitamins. You should also eat two to three servings of fruit per day and drinking more water is an excellent way to stay on the path to health.
- We all love the sun and what it can do for our spirits at this time of year, but we need to be respectful of its rays at the same time and wary of what can happen if we leave our skin unprotected. That’s why we have another great tip for the Spring that works well with our handmade jewellery and that’s the appropriate sunscreen. It’s a good idea to make sure whatever brand you buy is rated for protection against the sun’s UVA and UVB rays and has the proper Canadian government agency accreditation.
Spring is a great time to start looking after our health in other ways as well. It’s an excellent time to plan for a checkup with your doctor. Not only is this a great time of year to get a clean bill of health, but these periodic visits will teach you about all the things you can be doing to stay healthy and fit.
Remember that we’re right on side with everything you’re doing this time of year and we’d even like to suggest something from our kids crafts to keep the younger set busy as the weather improves. Finally, keep in mind this is the best time of year to get back in touch with the family and friends you’ve missed over those long cold winter months. It’s the relationships we have with other people that are the real stuff of life in the end and reaching out is the best way to celebrate the return of the birds, sunshine and Spring.
