How to Use: Tips for Best Results

• Whether you’re decorating a T-shirt, pillowcase, cushion cover, table runner, or other fabric items, follow these tips to get a clean, crisp transfer:

Before Ironing

• Place a heat-resistant barrier (like cardboard or a Teflon sheet) inside your fabric item. This prevents the transfer lines from bleeding through to the back.
• Lay a pressing cloth or clean handkerchief over the transfer to protect your iron from picking up any ink.

While Positioning the Transfer

• Use a thin, clean pin to secure the transfer in place – preferably at the corners.
• (Avoid thick or dirty pins, which can damage your fabric.)

Painting Your Design

• Once the transfer is ironed on, it’s easy to paint!
• If you don’t have Trichem paints, simply use any suitable fabric paint and follow the instructions on the paint bottle or tube.
• Some Trichem transfers include small elements that can be cut out and reused for separate projects – feel free to get creative!
