Creative Uses and Decorating Ideas:

• Paint the boxes in pastel colours, bright tones or classic neutrals.
• Use patterned self-adhesive paper or fabric to wrap the lids and sides.
• Add themed stickers, stencilled messages, or a personal photo on the lid.
• Embellish the boxes with ribbon, buttons, or a gift tag for a finishing touch.
• You can also glue some pretty lace around the lid or side of the box.
• For Mother’s Day, why not paint the box a pretty pink or yellow or mom’s favourite colour and add some colourful paper flowers or a ribbon on the lid. (Use some Mod Podge or other suitable glue to stick the flowers or ribbon on the lid of the box.) Fill the box with some of mom’s favourite candies, chocolates, cookies, a necklace, pendant, earrings, bracelet or something else. Mom will love it.
• For Father’s Day, why not paint the box and lid with dad’s favourite colour and fill the box with some candies, chocolates, cookies, cufflinks, a watch or something else. Add a jute bow to the lid. Dad will love it.
• For edible items, line the boxes with a napkin or food-safe doily and decorate only the outside and lid of the box.
