Creative DIY Sticker Projects – Fun and Easy Crafts, Hacks, and Ideas

A Few Sticker Basics

Stickers come in many forms, including sticker sheets, sticker books, vinyl stickers, layered stickers, puffy stickers, and decorative embellishments. For Creative DIY Sticker Projects, they can be used on paper crafts, journals, mixed-media art, wood signs, canvas boards, bookmarks, gift tags, bezel jewellery and home décor projects.

Helpful Sticker Hacks

Peeling Stubborn Stickers

If a sticker is difficult to separate from its backing, place a small piece of tape on the front and another on the back in the same position on both sides of the sticker. Pull gently and the backing usually separates easily.

Common Sticker Backings

  • Split-back backing – pre-cut for easy peeling.
  • Standard paper backing – requires lifting a corner manually.
  • Clear PET film backing – commonly found on vinyl and waterproof stickers.

Make Your Own Pendants, Brooches & Bracelets using Bezels

Create beautiful handmade pendants and brooches using decorative bezels, colourful stickers, and Dimensional Mod Podge. This fun and easy craft is suitable for beginners, children (with supervision), and experienced crafters looking to make unique jewellery or thoughtful handmade gifts.

Begin by selecting a bezel in your favourite shape and choose a sticker or decorative image that fits neatly inside. Carefully place the sticker into the bezel, ensuring it is centred, smooth, and firmly attached. If you’re using a paper image instead of a sticker, glue it into place and allow it to dry completely before continuing.

Before applying the Dimensional Mod Podge, place the bezel on a raised surface such as the edge of a small box, block of wood, or a stack of books, with the hanging loop (bail) extending over the edge. This keeps the bezel perfectly level, allowing the Dimensional Mod Podge to settle evenly across the surface without pooling to one side.

Slowly apply a generous layer of Dimensional Mod Podge over the entire image, guiding it gently to the edges with the nozzle if needed. Avoid overfilling, as the product will naturally self-level into a smooth, glossy, glass-like dome that enhances the colours and protects your design.

Leave the bezel undisturbed on the level surface for several hours, or preferably overnight, until completely dry. Once cured, attach a chain or cord to create a pendant, or glue a brooch pin to the back for a unique wearable accessory.

With a combination of bezels, stickers, papers, photos and embellishments, every creation is one of a kind. Experiment with different colours, themes, and finishes to design jewellery that reflects your own personal style.

  • Remember that Dimensional Magic is water-based and not resin. Finished pieces should not be immersed in water.
