These DIY square board coasters – 5 pieces – to paint and decorate are perfect for kids or adults. Paint and decorate these craft boards with colourful paper die-cut butterflies, birds, insects, feathers, etc., and other craft accessories and have fun. Stencils and stamps can also be used to decorate these DIY square board coasters. Kids can decorate these square board coasters and give them to Dad for Father’s Day or to Mom for Mother’s Day. Otherwise, perhaps grandma or grandpa would appreciate a gift from their grandchild. You could give it to a friend or keep it for yourself. When completed, if painted and decorated with rhinestones, glitter or gemstones, you could hang them on a wall for all to admire. If they are for a coaster, it is preferable to use the die-cut paper butterflies, birds, etc. or peel-and-stick stickers to keep them flat and level to accommodate a wine-glass or glass of fruit juice, dish of nuts, candies, etc.. One wouldn’t want them to fall off. Also after sticking the pretty collage paper birds, butterflies, insects, etc. with mod podge or another suitable glue, onto the painted square coasters, let the paint dry completely, glue the decorative paper or some pretty paper napkins onto them (see our blog for instructions). When the glue has dried, seal it with mod podge (if indoors) or a spray sealer (if outside).
It is an easy project for both kids and adults.
