Clear Glass Pebbles – Crafting & Decorating Ideas

These Clear Glass Pebble Stones are smooth, flat-backed glass pebbles that are perfect for a wide variety of craft and decorating projects. Their clear, shiny surface makes them especially versatile, allowing you to use them as they are or decorate the flat back with your own pictures, papers, stickers, or designs.

Use them to decorate craft projects such as painted glass bottles, jars, and other smooth surfaces. You can also use them with craft wire to create pendants, earrings, and bracelets. If you have a blank 1-inch round bezel setting, these pebbles can also be used to create a beautiful pendant.

These clear glass pebbles can also be used for simple home decorating. Place them in a small glass bowl or jar with colourful or plain decorative seashells, other glass pebbles, or your favourite decorative pieces. Display the bowl or jar on a table or shelf to add a little sparkle to your living room, or create one as a thoughtful handmade gift.

Glueing the Pebbles to Glass

These Clear Glass Pebbles can be glued onto glass or jewellery bezels using a suitable strong adhesive. Products such as Gorilla Glue or Mod Podge/Fun Stuff Podge may work well, depending on your project. Always make sure the adhesive you choose is suitable for both the glass and the surface you are attaching it to.

To glue a pebble onto a smooth surface such as glass, clean the surface thoroughly and allow it to dry completely. Apply a small amount of adhesive to the back of the pebble and press it firmly onto the surface for a few seconds to help it stay in place. Allow the adhesive to dry completely according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

If using Mod Podge or Fun Stuff Podge, you can apply a small amount of glue to the glass surface as well as to the back of the pebble. Press the pebble into place and allow it to dry thoroughly.

Create Your Own Picture Pebbles

Another fun idea is to use these clear pebbles to create your own picture or floral designs.

Cut a small picture, piece of decorative paper, floral paper, sticker, or die-cut to fit the flat back of the pebble. Apply a thin coat of Mod Podge to the front of the paper and allow it to dry completely. Then apply a small amount of Mod Podge to the flat back of the clear pebble and carefully attach the picture, with the image facing the glass.

Once the picture is attached, seal the back of the paper with Mod Podge or another suitable sealant. You can use photographs, scrapbook paper, floral designs, stickers, or die-cuts to create all kinds of unique decorated pebbles.

You can even turn your decorated pebbles into pendants or earrings by attaching a small jewellery bail to the back once your design is completely dry and secure.
