Valentine’s Day has changed during the pandemic. People haven’t been out for as many candlelit dinners or cocktails at the local lounge. Things are different again this year and many families and couples are spending Valentine’s Day at home.
The following are a few things that you can do and some cozy date ideas where you can lock the front door and stay inside.
Create A Spa In Your House
Creating a night of at-home pampering for you and your better half is easier than you might think. All you need is a few homemade facial masks, some massage oil and a few candles. If you don’t want to go to the trouble of improvising, a foot spa or a relaxing bath will do just as well.
Here are a few other ideas for an enjoyable stay at home Valentines.
Breakfast in Bed
Can you think of a better way to start any day than with breakfast in bed? Why not put together a tray full of some heart-shaped food items like cookies and/or a cake? If you have the time, you can even make Valentine’s Day brownies. Not really something for breakfast unless you’re getting up late on that special day. Here’s an idea that lends itself to more traditional breakfasts. A heart-shaped cookie-cutter can turn an ordinary piece of toast into something romantic.
If you’re really looking to surprise that special someone, why not sneak some jewellery onto the breakfast tray? For example, a Special pair of Earrings, a Pendant or a Pin by Wanda Shum hand crafted in Canada. It tells that special someone how much you’re thinking of them and appreciate how special and unique they are.
A Valentine’s Day Photo Book
A photo book makes a great romantic gift for Valentine’s Day. Plus it’s something you can do together in the safety of your own home. What makes it even more interesting is when you turn it into a Valentine’s Day activity.
Putting together all of your favourite photos in one place is a great trip down memory lane.
Why not consider making some new memories on February 14?
You might not be able to get married on an elephant like some couples in Thailand. But a wish box with a necklace shaped like one of these pachyderms from Basic Spirit could be the next best thing. There are also little Basic Spirit charm bowls, heart shaped pewter handcrafted earrings, pendants, keyrings, charm bracelets, etc..
if you like Jigsaw Puzzles, we have some beautiful designs from JacaRou.
You might be stuck inside this Valentine’s Day. Still that doesn’t mean you can’t tell that special someone how much they mean to you.
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY TO EVERYONE!
